Villa Gokce 3 stands on the slope directly above Kalkan, among olive trees, built in local stone. The old town is close enough to walk to, yet by evening, sitting beside the pool, none of the town reaches you.

Both bedrooms have a double bed and the house sleeps four. It is made for two couples, or a small family, rather than a large group. Its signature is the pool: not a rectangle, but cast in the shape of a boat's hull and lit from within after dark. Beside it sits a second, smaller pool built in the form of a real fishing boat, complete with an anchor motif.

Inside, the house is made of the materials the region actually uses: rough-cut stone walls, exposed timber ceilings, pale floors. The sliding doors of the living room open straight onto the pool terrace; left open, the two spaces become one.

Kitchen

The kitchen is open to the living room. Mint-green cabinetry, timber worktop and open shelving mounted on the stone wall. It is fitted with a built-in oven, gas hob, extractor, fridge, dishwasher, electric kettle and a double sink. The nearest supermarket is 600 m away, and the kitchen is equipped well enough that breakfast at home is a real option rather than a compromise.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1: Double bed, air conditioning, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.

There are two bathrooms, one of them en-suite. Upstairs there is a timber balcony facing the bay, with a table and chairs.

The villa sleeps four. As both rooms have double beds, it suits two couples or a small family. There are no twin beds; if you are travelling with two people who need separate beds, please tell us before booking.

Pool and Garden

The private pool is cast in the form of a boat's hull and is 1.5 m deep throughout. There is no shallow end, so children who cannot swim should not use the main pool unsupervised. This is precisely why the house has a second pool: the children have their own water, and you have yours.

The terrace holds five sun loungers, two parasols and a thatched pergola. It is enclosed on three sides by timber fencing and reed screens, with a glass balustrade on the sea side so the view stays open. It is screened from neighbours, but it is not a fully walled, private-enclosed villa — we would rather say so now than have you discover it on arrival.

The garden has lawn, palms and the surrounding olive trees. There is private parking, and the car reaches the door.

Barbecue Hearth and Shaded Terrace

In one corner of the garden there is a covered barbecue hearth with an industrial extractor hood, set into a concrete counter over a brick floor. This is not a portable grill left in a corner — it draws the smoke properly, and it is where dinner gets cooked.

At the other corner is a shaded seating area with a bamboo ceiling and stone walls: a kilim-upholstered corner bench and a low table. This is where you retreat in the heat of the afternoon, and where you sit with tea after dark.

Location

The villa is on the slope above Kalkan centre, on the Kaş side. The old town is 600 m away as the crow flies. It is walkable — downhill on the way in, a climb on the way back. If you are travelling with anyone who finds hills difficult, plan a car or taxi for the return; we say this plainly because it matters.

The nearest restaurant is 400 m away, the supermarket 600 m. Kalkan public beach and the coves towards Kalamar are a few minutes by car.

Good to Know

Because of the geography here, the settlements are built onto steep hillsides and the approach road climbs. As with any villa outside the town centre, you are in the middle of the natural world — insects, bees and cicadas in the evening are part of it. In summer the pool terrace is in full sun through the afternoon; the thatched pergola and the covered seating corner exist for that reason.

Check-in / Check-out and Deposit

Check-in is from 16:00, check-out by 10:00. The departure day is not included in the stay; cleaning and checks take place between those hours.

A cash damage deposit is taken on arrival and returned in full on departure provided there is no damage, breakage or loss.
