Winter can be one of the nicest times here — as long as you know what to expect.
• Weather: daytime temperatures are usually 15–18 °C with plenty of sunny days; December to February brings rainy spells. The sea cools to about 17–20 °C — still swimmable for the brave.
• What's open: Kaş is a year-round town, so cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and the weekly market stay open. Kalkan is much quieter, and some of its restaurants close between November and March.
• Choosing a villa: heating matters most for a winter stay — ask whether it has air conditioning with heating, a heat pump or underfloor heating. Pools are usually not heated in winter.
• Long stays: monthly winter rentals are possible and cost far less than summer rates. See our winter rental page, or message us for villas available right now.
